Known by many as “Ron,” he was born on May 8, 1928, in Flint, Mich. Ron was the son of Richard L. and Freda K. Rickel Norman. He attended school in the Warsaw area and worked for Kosciusko County Highway Department for more than 30 years. He was family focused and was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, camping and all kinds of sports. For many years, he enjoyed following his son around the region to watch him race sprint cars on dirt tracks and he rarely missed an episode of “The Price is Right.”
