WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s men’s tennis team kept its season alive with a 4-3 win over Taylor in the quarterfinals of the Crossroads League Tournament.

The Lancers, the No. 3 seed in the tourney, will travel to No. 2 Marian on Thursday in the tournament semifinals. The winner of the league tournament will punch its ticket to the NAIA National Championships.

Grace picked up an early edge on a hot, humid day at Miller Athletic Complex. The Lancers won all three doubles’ courts to secure the doubles’ point.

Pavle Popovic and Milan Savic won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Ramiro Candia and Jacob Gray won by the same score at No. 3.

Max Rozas and Fabricio Galvan secured the doubles’ sweep with a 6-3 victory at No. 2.

Candia was spotless with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles, and Mauricio Corty earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6.

Rozas wrapped up the team victory with a hard-fought win at No. 1 singles. He dropped the opening set 4-6 but recovered to win 6-3, 6-2 over the last two sets.
