Four Seasons Ladies Bridge Met

The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge met Wednesday at Grace Village. Winners were Sondra Dicken, Joan Earhart, Liz Frazzetta and Judy Stewart. Hostess was Frazzetta.



Bridge At SPEC In North Webster Held

Bridge at SPEC played Tuesday. Jerry Hetrick came in first and Mike Wyrick came in second. The group did not play Thursday.                  



Winona Literary Club Met

The Winona Literary Club met Wednesday at the Robin Hood Community Center with 20 members and one guest.

The guest speaker was Pardee Gunter from the Warsaw Biblical Gardens. He gave a very informative talk and showed some pictures. It began in 1986 and has emerged as one of the largest Biblical  botanical gardens in the United States.

President Phyllis Borkholder opened the meeting with the collect and prayer led by Marilyn Roeber.

Borkholder led the business meeting. Paula Ibach proposed that the club give a donation to the Salvation Army to help at Christmas time. Donations will be accepted at the Dec. 4 meeting.



Delta Theta Tau Sorority To Give $5,000

The Beta Zeta Chapter, Delta Theta Tau Sorority Inc., announced Tuesday it will award $5,000 this year to students specializing in counseling. Grants are awarded to students at the graduate level based upon their scholastic ability and financial need, according to Sandra Wentz, president of the local sorority chapter.

To obtain an award application, visit the DTT website at www.deltathetatau.org or write to Delta Theta Tau Sorority Inc., Philanthropy Committee Chairman, 500 S. Colfax, Martinsville, IN 46151-2309. A stamped self-addressed envelope must accompany any requests for application.

Applications are reviewed by the philanthropy committee of the sorority in February each year and applications for the summer session of 2020 or the academic tear of 2020-2021, and must be postmarked no later than Dec. 10.

The sorority has been associated with this project since 1959 and has given a total of $665,640.02 to 707 individual students throughout the United States.

Grace Thursday Bridge met on Thursday. Edith Vitoux was hostess. Winners were Beth Hoffer, Leigh Watkins and Sharon Tuttle.



KC Duplicate Met

KC Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 15, with four tables playing.  Winners were Jim White, Rick Helm and Duane and Beth Huffer.  All bridge players are welcome to join the club on the third Friday every month. Call 574-265-9109 for more information.

Warsaw Wraps Up Regular Season With Blowout Over Northridge
Playing the final game of the regular season Friday night, the Warsaw football team looked to end the campaign on a high not with a trip to Middlebury to take on Northridge. Thanks to some outstanding defense as well as two special teams scores, the Tigers were able to head into sectional play with a three-game winning streak under their belts with a 42-13 win.
