Crossroads League Announces Volleyball Award Winners

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its 2019 Volleyball All-League Team on Tuesday, three days after Indiana Wesleyan claimed the CL Tournament Championship over fellow regular season co-champion Marian.

The Wildcats were well represented in the All-Crossroads League awards, with Candace Moats being named the CL Coach of the Year and Alex Falcone being selected as the CL Setter of the Year. Marian’s Skyler Van Note was named the CL Player of the Year and MU’s Megan Hawley secured CL Libero-of-the-Year honors. Mount Vernon Nazarene’s Paige Brenner grabbed the final major award, being voted the CL Freshman of the Year.

Grace College was represented by Alexa Hill on the first team and Makaela Luchmueller and Gina Novotny on the second team. Makayla Bell and Gabbey Harrington were honorable mention, and Jayden Block was named to the All-Freshman team.

The All-Crossroads Lea-gue Team is voted on by the CL’s 10 head volleyball coaches.
