Maggie O. England, of Warsaw, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne at the age of 74.

 She was born on Sep. 1, 1945, in Silver Lake to Annie Whitaker Owens and Butler Owens. On March 16, 1962, Maggie married Elmer England.

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a 1964 graduate of Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake. She was a hard worker and throughout her life she worked at various companies. She spent time at Sun Metal in Warsaw, Warsaw Plating Works, Paragon Medical and worked for 10 years in the security department at DaLite Screen in Warsaw. Maggie also worked in the family business, Dynamic Steel and she was a familiar face when she worked at Penguin Point, Wendy’s and Subway. Her greatest and most LOVED job of all time was simply being mom and raising her six children with her husband, Elmer.  She will be remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Elmer England, Warsaw; four sons, Danny (Debbie) England, Warsaw; James England, Warsaw; Tim (Laura) England, Nancy, Ky.; Tom England, North Liberty; and two daughters, Tina (John) Purcell, Warren; Crystal (Trenton) Smith, Mentone. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Phyllis) Owens, Prestonsburg, Ky.; and her sister, Evaline Spangle, Columbia City.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.        

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Maggie’s life will be celebrated immediately following visitation with a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Terry Branford. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
