Hostrawser Gets 10 Points In Triton's Win At Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER – Lexia Hostrawser scored 10 points for Triton in its 31-26 win over host Manchester in a non-conference girls basketball game Friday night.

Senior Whytnie Miller, in her first game following a season-ending knee injury last year, had six points and grabbed a team-high five rebounds in 28 minutes. Kinsey Atkins had five points and Abbey Viers four points for the Lady Trojans.

Morgan Parrett led the Lady Squired with none points. Ranissa Shambarger had five points, and Makenzy Meyer had four points. Kiera Hatfield hit a pair of free throws for two pints and nabbed a team-high five rebounds.

Triton (1-1) hosts Argos Tuesday for a non-conference matchup between Marshall County schools. Manchester (0-1) travels to Walton to take on Lewis Cass on Tuesday.



Vikings Open With Win

AKRON – Junior Sidney Wagner scored 20 points, 12 after halftime, and classmate Hayley Backus added 19 points in Tippecanoe Valley’s 55-36 win over visiting Bremen in the girls basketball season opener for both teams Thursday.

Emma Craig tallied nine points, Kaydence Mellott had six and Jillian Walls had a pair of free throws for the Vikings.

Valley plays its first road game Tuesday at Culver Academies.



Tigers GBB Game At Valley Moved To Saturday


Warsaw’s non-conference girls basketball game at Tippecanoe Valley has been moved a night later, from Friday to Nov. 16, due to the Tiger football team advancing to regional play, which will be played Friday night.

Tip-off will still be at 7:15 p.m.
