The Last Monday Euchre Club met at the Warsaw Senior Center on Monday. High winner was Jane Eaton, most lones was Arlene Brooke and low was Lorene Taylor. The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the senior center.
Four Seasons Ladies Bridge Met
The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge met Wednesday at Grace Village. Winners were Peg Zimmerman, Betty Walston, Beth Huffer and Pauline Holderman. Hostess was Zimmerman.
Grace Thursday Bridge Met
Grace Thursday Bridge met on Thursday. Elaine Tripp and Edith Vitouy were hostesses. Winners were Bob Mayer, Nancy Dalton and Sharon Holtz.
Wednesday Night Bridge Met
Wednesday Night Bridge met Wednesday. The group had five tables with the following winners: Betty Walston, Bob Mayer, Joan Earhart, Mary Thompson, Virginia Horn and Annette Magner. John and Janet Wagley are host and hostess for November. The next meeting is Wednesday. The group would like to share its bridge night with interested bridge players. Bridge At SPEC In North Webster Played
Bridge At SPEC in North Webster played Tuesday. Mike Wyrick came in first and Jean Cowan came in second. The group played Thursday. Dick Sutton came in first and Mike Wyrick came in second.
Daughters of the American Revolution Met
Agnes Pruyn Chapman DAR met at noon Oct. 22 at Richard’s Restaurant, Warsaw, with 11 members and one guest present. While waiting for lunch, we signed cards for several members who have been ill.
Our program was presented by Brenda Utter from Grace College. Utter directs a program that prepares inmates for work after their release from surrounding county jails. The program is voluntary and paid for by the state. She teaches basic skills of math and language for the first two weeks. Then the inmates work on receiving certification in hospitality or logistics. There are 15 in a class and the classes are 2-1/2 hours long. About 96% of the participants pass the class with 86% completing the class. Almost all are incarceraed because of drugs.
Following the program, Regent Kathy Gawthrop called the meeting to order with the DAR opening rituals and read the president general’s message. Ann Lohman gave the national defense report on new postal stamps that have been issued to honor military working dogs.
Gawthrop passed out DAR conservation worksheets for each member to record her recycling and conservation activities. They should be filled out and returned at the November meeting.
The chapter voted to invite local SAR members to the meetings. Gawthrop is looking for three nonmembers to be judges at the DAR good citizen and essay contests.
The next meeting will be at noon Nov. 26 at Richard’s Restaurant. The program will be presented by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.

Frances Slocum Chapter DAR to Meet
Wabash County Frances Slocum Chapter, INDAR will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Grandstaff Hentgen Activity Room, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. The program will be given by retired U.S. National Guard Army Veteran, Helen Hile. Prospective members and guests are always welcome to attend.
DAR membership is open to any woman 18 years of age, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Those having questions about their family history lineage information may contact www.dar.org or Linda Thompson at 260-563-4661 or Barbara Amiss at 260-982-4376.
