All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The menu will include biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, fried apples, pancakes and syrup, orange juice, milk and coffee. Donations will be accepted at the door.

The church is at 1250 Husky Trail next to Martin’s Super Market, Warsaw. Call 574-267-7210 for more information.



Whitko Gospel Choir Performing Sunday

PIERCETON – The Whitko Gospel Choir will be at Pierceton United Methodist Church at 9 a.m. Sunday. 

The high school students will “open up their hearts to the Lord through testimony and song.”   

The church is at 502 N. First St., Pierceton, and is handicapped-accessible. Parking is in the back.  

All are welcome.



Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church in Warsaw from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The meal this month will feature beef and shredded chicken tacos with all the fixings, rice, chips and salsa, fruit cocktail,  fresh fruit and a variety of desserts. It will be provided and served by Sacred Heart parishioners.  

There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.

Items Sought For St. Anne’s Garage Sale

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is asking the public to consider donating quality items for their annual garage sale.  

Anyone with an operational vehicle, boat, canoe, lawn tractor, etc., they want to donate may call Doug Blatz (260-571-6637) or Frank Sapper (574-527-0610) to arrange for the item to be picked up.  

Donations may also be dropped off at the Family Arts Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds beginning at 10 a.m. June 1-2.  

The sale runs June 5-7. Customers will be able to shop in an air-conditioned building, and food vendors will offer a variety of items for purchase.   



Griffith Family Singing Saturday

SILVER LAKE – Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God will host the Griffith Family at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The church is at 303 S. Jefferson St., Silver Lake.

Everyone one is welcome to the concert.



New Rector Will Be Installed May 24

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will install its new rector, Fr. Ryan Fischer, in a special ceremony at 7 p.m. May 24.  

The Right Rev. Dr. Douglas E. Sparks, bishop of Northern Indiana, will preside at the service. The Rev. Lowell G. Almen, secretary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America from 1987-2007, will deliver the sermon.  

The community is invited to attend.

Burket UMC Selling Port-A-Pit Chicken

BURKET – Burket United Methodist Church will sell Nelson’s Port-A-Pit chicken, pork chops and Pit-Tatoes at the Big Egg in Mentone from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.

A bake sale is also planned.

Chicken is $6 for presale tickets and $7 the day of the sale. Proceeds will go toward missions.

Jonah Club Fish Fry Planned Friday

NORTH MANCHESTER – The North Manchester Congregational Church will host its annual Jonah Club Fish Fry on Friday.   

Indoor serving lines for all-you-can-eat dining will be open from 4:30 to 7 p.m.  Carry out lines will be open from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of the church.  

The meal will include fish, slaw, applesauce, bread and drink. Tickets are $9 in advance for adults ($9.50 at the door), $5 for children ages 6-10, and free for children 5 and younger.  

Proceeds from the event will benefit the various ministries of the church.

The church is on the corner of Fourth and Walnut streets in North Manchester.

PIERCETON – Pierceton United Methodist Church will offer a donation-only breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

The breakfast will feature biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage links, fruit and toast.

Bikers and visitors to the Vintage Motorcycle Show in Pierceton, along with community members, are welcome to the breakfast.   

The church is two blocks north of Brower Park on Ind. 13, Pierceton.  



Feed The Hungry, Homeless Event Saturday

Evangelist Justine Slone Megething is reaching out to the community to feed the hungry and the homeless.

A service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at Center Lake by McDonald’s on Ind. 15. Food and fellowship will follow the service, and food boxes will be given out.

Those who are able may bring food donations for others.
