Shewmans Together For 60 Years

An open house is planned in celebration of Con and Sharon Shewman’s 60th wedding anniversary.

Con Shewman and the former Sharon Heighway were married May 10, 1959, in Beaver Dam EUB by the Rev. William Shewman.

Con drives a school bus for the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp.

Sharon retired from Akron Elementary School after working many years as a teachers aide.

The Shewmans have two children, Ron (Peg) Shewman of Akron and Jennifer (Matt) Fraser of Akron. They have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Akron Community Building. The couple request no gifts, only the presence of friends and family.

Cards may be sent to the Shewmans at 9900 E. Division Road, Akron, IN 46910.
