2 From Milford Face Meth, Gun Charges After Surveillance, Search Warrant

Two Milford residents were arrested Thursday on several drug charges, including dealing methamphetamine.

Eric Scott McFarland, 38, was arrested for dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, unlawful possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon and theft.

Whitney Leighann Schwab, 29, was arrested for  dealing methamphetamine. possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and two counts of neglect of a dependent.

The arrests came after numerous drug complaints. Kosciusko County’s narcotics unit, NET 43, did a covert investigation, which included surveillance and undercover work, after which a search warrant was obtained.

Besides McFarland and Schwab, two children were in the home when the search warrant was executed. The children were taken into protective custody with the Indiana Department of Child Services.

When McFarland and Schwab were arrested, officers also found a stolen firearm, paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Net 43 was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Police Department, Indiana State Police and Lutheran EMS.

McFarland’s and Schwab’s bonds are  set at $25,250.
