Kosciusko County Retired Teachers

The first Kosciusko County Retired Teachers meeting is planned for Tuesday.

The social gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon at Miller’s Senior Living Center, 1634 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw. Lunch is $5 and local yearly membership is $10. Dan Coplen, Kosciusko County historian, is providing the program. RSVP to [email protected].

Upcoming gatherings are July 9, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8. All retired teachers are welcome.



Winona Literary Club

The Winona Literary Club met May 1 at the Robin Hood Community Center with 25 members and guests present.  Vera Stevens led the collect and prayer.

Marsha South announced the sign-up sheet for refreshments starting in September will be passed.  

The speaker was Mayor Joe Thallemer, whose subject was "Past, Present and Future." A question time followed.

The business meeting was next, with minutes being read by the assistant secretary due to the secretary's voice problems. The financial report was given, followed by committee reports.  

President Paula Ibach thanked the hostess committee Marilyn Whitman and Pat Redpath and offered prayer.

The meeting closed with refreshments and fellowship.



Wednesday Night Bridge

The Wednesday Night Bridge group had five tables this week, with the following winners: Elaine Tripp, Joan Earhart, Tom Anderson, Nannette Newland, Bob Mayer and Peg Wilson.  

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for May.

Interested bridge players are welcome to the Wednesday meetings. Call Janet Wagley at 574-268-1330 for more information.

Senior Prime Enrichment Center

NORTH WEBSTER – Results of bridge at the North Webster Community Center SPEC this week:

On Tuesday, Jerry Hetrick was first and Wanda Wyrick was second.

On Thursday, Mary Prescott was first and Suze Wilt was second.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

WINONA LAKE – The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge group met Wednesday at Grace Village.

Winners were Diane Cartwright, Sharon Holtz and Helen Miller.

Liz Frazzetta was hostess.



Grace Thursday Bridge

Grace Thursday Bridge met this week with Sharon Tuttle as hostess.

Winners were Liz Frazzetta, Tuttle and Beth Huffer.
