Edwina Grace ‘Win’ Sroufe

NORTH WEBSTER – Edwina Grace “Win” Sroufe, 75, of North Webster, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1943, in Beach Grove, to Edward Robert and Irene Balint Eves. She graduated from North Western High School in Kokomo and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne.

She was married on Dec. 20, 1968, in Fort Wayne, to Jon Watson Sroufe, who preceded her on Sept. 23, 2018.

She was formerly employed at International Harvester, where she appeared in the first instructional video introducing computer technology to the business environment. Her business acumen carried over to her being instrumental in starting Sroufe Healthcare in Ligonier along with her husband, Jon.

She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse and attended Salem Community Church in Wilmot. She was a member of the Tippecanoe Country Club, where she enjoyed great success as a member of the tennis league as well as playing on the Warsaw travel team. She served as a Mobile Meals driver for many years, in addition to supporting the causes that make days better for others. She will be remembered for her loving, generous, selfless manor.

She is lovingly remembered by her identical twin sister,  Edie Watson of North Webster; brother, Edward William (Barb) Eves of Kokomo; nieces and nephews: Erin (Gary) Smith of North Webster; Lisa (Eric) Gronowski of Geneva, Ill.; Dr. Troy Watson of Santa Fe, N.M.; and Brian (Anitra) Eves of Bradenton, Fla.; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Abi and Ali Smith, Sage Watson, Jordan Witmer, Kayla Gronowski, Ryker Watson and Parker Gronowski.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Colby officiating.

Private burial will take place in the Salem Cemetery in Wilmot.
