St. Anne’s Episcopal Church Has New Rector

The Rev. Ryan Fischer has accepted the call to be the new rector at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Warsaw.

Fischer’s first day was March 15.

Fischer, from Crystal, N.D., graduated from Concordia College with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 1996. In 2000, he graduated from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree with honors in church history. He studied theology at the Ludwig Maximilian Univer-sity in Germany in 2001. He also completed a master’s degree in public health, policy and administration in 2017 from the University of North Dakota. 

Fischer has been an ordained minister since 2001 and has served in three Lutheran churches over a 16-year period. In 2017, he became an Episcopal priest and served as an interim priest and supply priest in North Dakota. 

He speaks English and German and has an extensive chorale background. His hobbies include collecting antique cars, participating in car clubs, and traveling to car shows and club excursions.    

Fischer will lead worship services at St. Anne’s Fischer at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Sundays.  Everyone is welcome.

St. Anne’s is at 424 W. Market Street in Warsaw.
