Free Pancake Breakfast Saturday At Trinity

A free pancake breakfast is planned Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw.

The breakfasat will be from 8 to 10 a.m. at the church,  832 E. Center St.



Swiss Steak Supper Saturday In N. Webster

NORTH WEBSTER – A swiss steak supper is planned  from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at North Webster Church of the Brethren.

The meal will feature swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, dinner rolls, pies, cakes and desserts.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for those 5 and younger.

The church is at 7281 E. 600 N., North Webster.



St. Anne’s Offering Stations Of The Cross

Stations of the Cross will be offered Friday nights during Lent at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Warsaw.

Stations of the Cross will begin this Friday and continue on March 29, April 5 and April 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Palm Sunday will be April 14, with Maundy Thursday being celebrated at 7 p.m. April 18. A Good Friday Mass is planned for 7 p.m. April 19.  

St. Anne’s Easter celebration will be at 8 and 10:15 a.m. April 21.  

All are invited to the special services this time of the year.

Kolbe, Musician Coming To Trinity UMC

Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw announces upcoming events.

Musician/guitarist/singer Dan Holmes will perform at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Warsaw attorney David Kolbe will present “Travel to Albania” at 6:30 p.m. March 28.

The church is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.



‘Inspired By Mary’ Topic Of  April Program

DONALDSON – The Lindenwood Retreat and Conference Center will offer a day program titled “Inspired by Mary: Living by Her Example” on April 30.

Father Edward Looney of Green Bay, Wis., will present three main themes that will help participants live by Mary of Nazareth’s example: How did Mary love? How did Mary live virtue? How do we listen to Mary through her apparitions?

Looney was ordained in 2015 for the Diocese of Green Bay. He is member of the Mariological Society of America. He is the author of the best-selling Catholic devotionals “A Rosary Litany” and “A Heart Like Mary’s.”

The program will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30. Cost is $50 per person and includes lunch, refreshments and Mass with Looney. Attendees should bring their rosary.

What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
