Kolbe, Musician Coming To Trinity UMC

Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw announces upcoming events.

Musician/guitarist/singer Dan Holmes will perform at 9 a.m. March 24.

Warsaw attorney David Kolbe will present “Travel to Albania” at 6:30 p.m. March 28.

The church is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.



Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The meal this month will feature sloppy joes, baked beans, chips, fresh fruit and a variety of homemade desserts. It is provided and served by Sacred Heart parishioners.  

There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.

‘Inspired By Mary’ Topic Of April Program

DONALDSON – The Lindenwood Retreat and Conference Center will offer a day program titled “Inspired by Mary: Living by Her Example” on April 30.

Father Edward Looney of Green Bay, Wis., will present three main themes that will help participants live by Mary of Nazareth’s example: How did Mary love? How did Mary live virtue? How do we listen to Mary through her apparitions?

Looney was ordained in 2015 for the Diocese of Green Bay. He is member of the Mariological Society of America. He is the author of the best-selling Catholic devotionals “A Rosary Litany” and “A Heart Like Mary’s.”

The program will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30. Cost is $50 per person and includes lunch, refreshments and Mass with Looney. Attendees should bring their rosary.

Whole Hog Sausage, Pancake Meal March 16

PIERCETON – Pierceton United Methodist Church will have its annual whole hog sausage and pancake dinner on Saturday.

The all-you-can-eat dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship room of the church  

Cost to attend is a free-will donation.  All proceeds from the dinner go to the mission of the church.  

Those who ordered sausage may pick it up from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the church.  

The church is handicapped-accessible, with parking in the back of the church.  



Biblical Counseling Event March 16-17

Community Bible Church in Warsaw is planning “Reaching the Heart,” a biblical counseling conference, Saturday and Sunday.

The conference will be led by Dr. Wayne Vanderwier, founder of Overseas Instruction in Counseling in 2006. OIC trains Christian leaders to train others across the world in biblical counseling.

Sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon  and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Free Community Dinner Planned March 21

PIERCETON – A free community dinner is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. March 21 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church hall.  

The focus of this meal, planned by churches in the community, is to bring people together to eat, share stories and meet their neighbors.  The menu this month is sloppy joes, baked beans, chips, drink and dessert.  

Everyone is welcome.



Rummage, Bake Sale Planned March 15-16

Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church will have its spring rummage and bake sale Friday and Saturday.

The sale will be in the church gym from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Proceeds will be divided among mission groups and community outreach.

The church is at 210 S. High St., Warsaw.
