The Genealogy Group has accounced upcoming meetings.
On March 19, Sara Allen from the Fort Wayne Allen County Genealogy Center will share information on DNA.
On April 16, Mike Kissinger from the Kosciusko County Courthouse will share information on land records. He will discuss terminology, available records, maps and plats for the county.
Both meetings will be from 10 a.m. to noon in the Old Jail Museum Library, 121 N. Indiana St., Warsaw. Everyone is welcome.

Kosciusko Kettleheads Homebrew Club
The Kosciusko Kettleheads Homebrew Club will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hoplore Brewing in Leesburg.
Those interested in the fine art of fermentation are invited to attend, and all current, former or potential brewers are welcome.
The Kettleheads meet the second Sunday of every month. The April meeting will be at Mad Anthony's in Warsaw.

Friends Of Warsaw Library
The Hospitality Committee served hot cocoa and treats on a record-breaking cold day at the March 4 meeting of Friends of the Warsaw Community Public Library.
Present were 18 members; one guest; Ann Zydek, library director; and Robin Fosnaugh, liaison and administrative assistant.
The meeting agenda included the big book sale scheduled March 14-16. As an outreach an evening meeting was proposed.
Blind Date with a Book was succesful, and a children's version, Play Date with a Book, will be added.
Melanie Martin will do the FOL Facebook page.
April 1 is the annual volunteer appreciation reception. Pizza and sides will be offered beginning at 12:45 p.m.
Zydek will present the 2019 Wish List. A winner will be drawn from the returned Rate Your Date slips and a prize awarded to the Volunteer with the most recorded hours.
Interested parties are invited to the April 1 meeting to discover how they can help support the library. Business sponsors are Times-Union, Bartel Printing Co. Inc., Miner & Lemon LLC, 1st Source Bank/Esther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust, Dahms & Yarian Inc. and Detroit Street Pizza Hut.
Four Seasons Ladies Bridge
WINONA LAKE – The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge club met Wednesday at Grace Village.
Winners were Beth Huffer, Elaine Tripp and Maxine Harris.
Liz Frazzetta was hostess.
Winona Literary Club
WINONA LAKE – The Winona Literary Club met Wednesday at the Robin Hood Community Center.
There were 20 members present along with the speaker, Dr. Terry White from Grace College, who was introduced by Judy Widbin. White’s subject was “Exploring the Celtic Roots of Christianity in Ireland and Scotland.”
President Paula Ibach opened the meeting and the collect was led by Virginia Bish. The business meeting followed with minutes and financial report.
Hostesses Joann Wilcoxson and Mary Jane Schmitt served refreshments and fellowship was enjoyed.
The next meeting is at 1:30 p.m. March 20.
Wednesday Night Bridge Group
There were four tables this week at the gathering of the Wednesday Night Bridge Group.
Winners were Dorothy Herring, Mike Herring, Joyce Latta, Sharon Tuttle and John Stewart. Janet and John Wagley were hostess and host.

Singles Meeting Friends
Donna share helpful information regarding pets at Wednesday’s meeting of Singles Meeting Friends.
Donna said many plants can be harmful, even fatal, to pets if ingested. The top 10 toxic plants are amaryllis, aloe, azalea, begonia, carnations, chrysanthemum, daffodil, English ivy, Lillie's, poinsettia, tulips, dieffenbachia (dumb cane), autumn crocus, sago palm and hydrangea. With spring on the horizon, she suggested watching pets when they are around houseplants and any flowers in your hard.
She also shared how many foods we eat can be bad for pets: avocado, bones, chives, onions, garlic, chocolate, coffee, tea, pop and caffeine, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, milk, salt, raw meat, uncooked eggs, yeast dough, xylitol (sugar substitutes) and, for cats only, Tylenol. Tylenol breaks down the blood cells in cats, causing anemia and death. Dogs can tolerate a little bit of Tylenol. She said stick to pet food to keep your animals healthy.
Some of the group are planning to attend the Lakes Area Players presentation "Christ's Passion" in April.

Grace Thursday Bridge met this week with Nancy Dalton as hostess.
Winners were Bob Mayer, Sharon Tuttle and John Stewart.
North Webster Senior Center SPEC
NORTH?WEBSTER – Bridge results are announced from the Senior Prime Enrichment Center.
Winners Tuesday were, first, Jean Cowan, and second, Wanda Wyrick.
Winners Thursday were, first, Jerry Hetrick, and second, Mike Wyrick.
Altrusa Club
Each quarter, Altrusa Club members enjoy a program meeting to learn more about what is going on in the community to determine if and how they can help.
On Thursday, members heard from Rebecca Bazzoni, founder of Joe’s Kids in Warsaw, and from her son, Nick, a junior at Warsaw Community High School and a participant in Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy.
For his KYLA project, Nick partnered with his mother’s organization and established Labor of Love. While his mother’s organization is a pediatric therapist organization specializing in working with children from birth to age 18 for physical, occupational and speech therapy, Nick’s volunteers sew weighted blankets and vests for those children who need them.

Altrusans also reviewed the results of their spring bazaar, after which coordinator Vicki Martin did a victory dance! Over 175 shoppers visited this year’s bazaar, the third.
Members are also preparing for Altrusa District Six’s annual conference in Muncie April 5-7. Four members will represent the local club at the event.
The club’s next meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. March 21 at Richards Restaurant, Warsaw.

Agnes Pruyn chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met Feb. 26 with six members and one guest present.
First Vice Regent Evelyn Rake called the meeting to order with the opening DAR Ritual and read the president general's message. Paulene Holderman gave the national defense message and read the secretary's minutes. Janis Cox gave the treasurer's report.
Evelyn introduced the guest, Paula Kiser, education and outreach coordinator for Kosiusko County County Farm Bureau. Farm Bureau is 100 years old this month. Paula explained the various aspects of the Farm Bureau in assisting farmers and policy holders.
Evelyn announced that Shayleigh Shriver, this year's good citizen, will be at the next meeting, which is at noon March 26 at Richards Restaurant, Warsaw.
