Norrises Together For 64 Years

Lee and Norene Norris will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Lee Norris and the former Norene Bibler were married March 6, 1955, by the Rev. Chester Doden in First Baptist Church of Mentone.

Lee started out farming the family land. He served in the Army during the Korean War, then started a manufacturing business, BNW Industries, in 1965. The company is now run by his two sons and a grandson as Norris Thermal Technologies in Tippecanoe. Norene held domestic jobs and raised their five children. 

Lee and Norene are avid Harley riders and have put more than 250,000 miles on their Harley-Davidson motocycles.  They are members of the Warsaw chapter of Christian Motorcycle Asso-ciation.  They are members of First Baptist Church in Mentone.

Their children are Daniel (Dawn) of Mentone, Connie Hunsberger of Mentone, Cindy Miller of Beaver Dam, Angie Butler of Warsaw and Aaron (Nicole) of Mentone. They have 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A family party is planned to celebrate the anniversary.
