Warsaw Man Faces Charges After Domestic Battery Incident

A Warsaw man will face two felony counts of domestic battery in the presence of a child and two more misdemeanor charges after an affidavit was filed Friday.

Hugo Mellado Limon, 39, of 548 E. Main St., was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:50 p.m. Feb. 23 on an initial charge of domestic battery. The location of the alleged incident was redacted in court documents.

In the affidavit it is alleged Limon was intoxicated and became upset with a female family member. The misdemeanor charges maintain Limon “did knowingly or intentionally touch another person, a family or household member, in a rude, insolent or angry manner.” The felony charges state those same actions came in the presence of a child under 16.

One victim had a red mark on the back, and another had a 5- to 6-inch scratch on the left arm while being thrown to a couch.

Limon is being held on $5,000 surety and $1,000 cash bond.

An initial hearing was set for 1 p.m. March 11.
