Pierceton UMC To Hold Garage Sale

PIERCETON – Pierceton United Methodist Church is hosting its annual free garage sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon in the fellowship room of the church.  This is an important mission of this church as it helps the community and those in the surrounding area gather school clothes for children.  Everyone is invited.  

There are clothes of all sizes and a table or two of miscellaneous items that may have a use in your home.  

Remember you just bag it up and take it home.  There is nothing for sale at this event.



Leesburg Church To Hold Lakeside Service

LEESBURG – Leesburg United Methodist Church will have its lakeside service on Sunday at Patona Bay on Tippecanoe Lake at 8:30 a.m.

Guest musicians this week are ByGrace Ministry. ByGrace Ministry was new to its service last year. ByGrace Ministry is comprised of Amos and Margaret Raber and their five children. The church welcomes you to join the service on the water or on land. If it rains, the service will be held in the boat house on the property.

Warsaw Church To Hold Rummage Sale

New Hope Freewill Baptist Church of Warsaw will be holding its annual rummage sale Aug. 2 and Aug. 3. Friday's hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday's hours will be 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The church is at 3651 N. Detroit St., Warsaw.



Warsaw Church To Host Gospel Group

Warsaw Family Worship will host Blue Grass Gospel Jam this Saturday at 6 p.m. 1250 Husky Trail next to Martin’s Supermarket. Everyone is welcome. For information, call 574-253-1756.



Fifth Annual Atwood

Community Church Service

ATWOOD – The churches of Atwood invite you to join them on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for a chance to come together as a community to worship the Lord. This service will be held on the grounds behind the Atwood Community Building, 213 E. Hovey St., Atwood.

The service will be presented by the combined efforts of Atwood Christian Fellowship, New Beginnings Community and Otterbein United Methodist churches. There will be music, prayer, praise, worship and kid’s time during the service. Everyone needs to bring a lawn chair and an umbrella for shade. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved inside.

During the service, the churches will take up a community offering that will not go to any of the churches, but rather half of it will go to the Atwood Fire Department and the other half to the Atwood Community Building Fund, as that fund is used to help people in need in Atwood.

After the service, the churches will continue our time of fellowship with a community potluck meal in the Community Building. All are asked to bring a dish to share. Table service and beverages will be provided.

Warsaw Church To Host Concert

Dutchtown Brethren Church, located at the corner of CRS 300N and 400E, Warsaw, will host a concert staring Ted Yoder. The concert will start at 7 p.m. Aug. 2. A free-will offering will be accepted for the artist.



Etna Green UMC To Hold Concert

ETNA GREEN – Etna Green United Methodist Church will host a concert at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 staring Buddy Liles. Liles was a member of Florida Boys Quartet for more than 25 years, won a Marvin Norcross Award and is in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.



Warsaw Church To Host Workshop

Warsaw Community Church will host a five-hour, conference-style workshop for anyone that needs to prepare for or are in the midst of caring for an aging loved one. The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and a light breakfast. The cost is $20 and includes materials, light breakfast and lunch. Topics of sessions are ‘“The Aging Process,” “Elder Law” and “Self Care Aware.”
