They were married July 19, 1979, in Mentone.
Phillip is a 2008 retiree from Biomet and works for Enterprise in Warsaw. Jeannie has been a beautician for 52 years and volunteered at Lesea Inc. Prayerline for 15 years.
The couple have three children: Chris and Anne Nelson, Indianapolis, Jeff and Renee Mellott, Warsaw, and John and Paige Hubner, Warsaw, as well as four grandchildren.
The Nelson will celebrate with a 40th wedding trip to Branson, Mo.
