LEESBURG – Dig out those peace signs, poodle skirts, bellbottoms and bow ties. Get on your dancing shoes and take a walk down memory lane at the historic Tippy Gardens Ballroom.

For over 100 years, this location featuring an outdoor stage and dance floor has hosted musical artists such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong REO Speedwagon and The Byrds. For one night only, guests are invited to join The Watershed Foundation and support clean lakes for “Dance Through the Decades.”

Adult individual tickets are $75 and includes a catered meal and dessert. Want to bring the whole gang? A limited number of reserved tables for eight adult guests are available for $750. These tables include eight dinners and eight drink tickets.

The good times will rock n’ roll all night long, beginning at 6:30 p.m. when the doors open with cocktails and appetizers. Get your dancing feet loosened up as DJ Dave Baumgartner plays everyone's favorites from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

After dinner, Leisure Machine, a high-energy dance and rock cover band from Metro Detroit, takes the stage until 11 p.m.

TWF Executive Director Lyn Crighton said, “The Dance Hall has been scrubbed and painted; it’s like new for this event! We’re excited to see people’s ’50s, ’60s and ’70s outfits, and to have everyone come together for a fun night to support our lakes.”

All sorts of activities including costume and hula hoop contests, 50/50 drawing, and raffle prizes will be held throughout the night!

Visit www.WatershedFoundation.org or call 574-834-3242 for more information and to purchase tickets.

Join main event sponsors Main Channel Marina, Coldwell Banker Deb Paton-Showley Group, Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association, Barbee Lakes Property Owners Association, as well as in-kind supporters Ace Hardware, Bart’s Watersports, Beyond Landscaping, Chubbies, Patona Bay Marina & Resort, Signarama and Warsaw Party Rental.

All proceeds help take action for healthy lakes and rivers in the community for today and the future. TWF is a local non-profit organization committed to preserving and protecting our water’s health by stopping pollution at its source through education, partnerships and on-the-ground projects.
