Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

WINONA LAKE – The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge group met Wednesday at Grace Village.

Winners were Judy Stewart, Irma Swank and Beth Huffer.

Stewart was hostess.



Wednesday Night Bridge

The Wednesday Night Bridge group had four tables this week.

Winners were Tony Frazzetta, Dorothy Herring, Tom Anderson, Annette Magner and Carol Freeman. Janet and John Wagley were hostess and host.

Bridge players are welcome to the weekly meetings. If interested call Janet Wagley at 574-268-1330.



Grace Thursday Bridge

Grace Thursday Bridge met this week with Ann Thallemer as hostess.

Winners were Nancy Dalton, Pauline Holderman and Elaine Tripp.



Altrusa International Of Warsaw

Altrusa International of Warsaw hosted Altrusa International’s District Six director, Angela Beck, at its meeting Thursday at Richards Restaurant.

Beck invited members to the upcoming District Six Conference April 5-9 in Muncie and informed the club of other news and events.

Membership chair Julie Patton-Hall initiated two new members into the club during the meeting. Cathy Cox (sponsored by club President Bev Faulkner) and Paula Shalley (sponsored by Barbara Frye) received their pins and badges along with a hearty welcome from club members. The club is proud to be a growing  club; it has initiated 11 members in recent months and will initiate another in February.  

Altrusa members are finalizing plans for their third annual spring bazaar, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 2 at Wyndham Gardens Banquet Center and Ballroom, 2517 and 2519 E. Center St. in Warsaw. The bazaar has no admission fee and door prizes will be given away. Over 30 vendors will make available their crafts and one-of-a-kind gifts. A bake sale is also planned. Vendor applications may be received by emailing [email protected].

Additional information about the bazaar and the club’s local service projects may be found on Facebook at Altrusa-Warsaw, IN.  Proceeds will fund the club’s local service projects.

The next meeting will be at noon Feb. 7 at KREMC, 370 S 250 E, Warsaw. Anyone interested in learning more about becoming involved in service in the community is welcome to attend.
