Grace College is reaping the financial benefits of energy-saving projects completed on campus in 2017 and 2018. Kirby Dipert, field engineer at Lockheed Martin Energy, recently presented a check for $32,392.09 to Grace College from NIPSCO.  Lockheed Martin Energy administers NIPSCO’s energy efficiency programs.  According to Dipert, the check’s value represents the energy efficiencies gained from four projects completed on campus over the past 12 months: the installation of a new boiler and chiller in Alpha Hall, new exterior LED lighting across campus, and the installation of energy-efficient equipment and LED lighting in the new Dr. Dane A. Miller Science Complex. Randy Kleinhans, Aramark Facilities Services director at Grace College, was on hand to receive the check. “We sincerely appreciate the recognition from NIPSCO and Lockheed Martin for our energy-saving projects. We will continue to pursue projects that conserve energy and make us an energy-efficient campus for years and decades to come,” Kleinhans said.
