KCSO Seeking Lake Patrol Deputies

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to serve as lake patrol deputies.

The KCSO maintains an active partnership with the Tippecanoe Lake, Syracuse and Wawasee Property Owners Associations for funding and operation of the program. Deputies actively patrol the county waterways during the summer boating season, with a focus on promoting boater safety and education.

Candidates must be 21 years old, serve as an active member, or approved by the respective lake association and meet the employee standards of the KCSO. Once hired, deputies will receive training, consisting of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Pre-Basic Course and watercraft operations.

Applications can be picked up at the KCSO or at www.kcgov.com. The application deadline is March 8.
