Frances Slocum Chapter DAR

Elizabeth Moore has been selected as the winner of the DAR Good Citizen award presented by the Frances Slocum Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Entrants in the contest wrote an essay on “Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving it; What new challenges will America face as we move forward into the future?”

Moore is a senior at Northfield Jr.-Sr. High School.

Cora Barnett represented Manchester High School and Picabo Saunders represented Wabash High School in the contest.

Candidates from were selected by school faculty and their peers to compete for the award.  

As chapter winner, Moore and will compete for state DAR Good Citizen Honors.

She is the daughter of Chris and Janette Moore, Andrews.  



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

WINONA LAKE – The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge club met Wednesday at Grace Village.

Winners were Sharon Holtz, Elaine Tripp and Dian Cartwright.



Wednesday Night Bridge

The Wednesday Night Bridge club had four tables this week, with the following winners: Sharon Tuttle, Tom Anderson, Joyce Latta, Virginia Horn and Bob Mayer.  

Janet and John Wagley were hostess and host.

Bridge players are welcome to the Wednesday gatherings.  If interested call Janet Wagley at 574-268-1330.

Grace Thursday Bridge

Grace Thursday Bridge met this week with Sharon Tuttle as hostess.

Ann Thallemer was first, followed by Tuttle, Nancy Dalton and Edith Vitou.





Lambda Chi Omega

Lambda Chi Omega will meet for dinner Wednesday at Maria’s Family Restaurant, 3865 Lake City Hwy., Warsaw.

The social  meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
