Cops Say Man Stole Crossbow Before Resisting Arrest

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence at 3501 W. CR 100N, Warsaw, for a possible theft.

The caller reported that Dylan Stimeling, 24, had taken a crossbow from the residence and left the scene. Indiana Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Matthew Maher responded to the area and found Stimeling in a neighboring yard.
Stimeling, while holding the crossbow, refused to comply with Maher’s orders. Stimeling eventually dropped the crossbow and began to walk briskly toward the City-County Athletic Complex, according to a news release from the KCSO. Stimeling was apprehended, following deployment of a conducted electrical weapon, by KCSO deputies at the City-County Athletic Complex.
Stimeling was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $750 cash bond for theft and resisting arrest.
