County Jail Bookings

The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 4:37 p.m. Thursday - Nastassja Alexus Phillips, 20, of 1748 S. Blue Spruce Road, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear - misdemeanor. Bond: $500.

• 5:27 p.m. Thursday - Caleb Michael Devine, 26, of 326 Eisenhower Pkwy., Warsaw, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish. Bond: $5,250.



Personal Injury Accident

• 11:05 p.m. Wednesday - Intersection of West Crystal Lake Road and South CR 650W, Warsaw. SUV-car collision. Drivers: Cary D. Walls, 45, Sandcastle Drive, Warsaw; Manuel Garcia, 34, West Rochester Street, Akron. Injury: Garcia complained of left side pain and was checked out by Mentone EMS and signed off at the scene. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.



Property Damage Accidents

• 9:27 p.m. Wednesday - Intersection of East CR 450S and South CR 300E, Warsaw. Van went off the road and hit a rock. Driver: Destini A. Carpenter, 19, South CR 400E, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSO.

• 10:27 a.m. Thursday - 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Two-car collision. Drivers: Lucinda Weaver, 60, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton; Sally A. Priser, 62, South Magee Road, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 11:48 a.m. Thursday - 1000 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Pickup hit parked pickup; registration information not listed. Driver: Ronald H. Hawk, 84, North State Street, South Whitley. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. WPD.

• 9:17 a.m. Wednesday - A person in the 2900 block of East Joshua Drive, Warsaw, reported a juvenile refused to go to school. WPD.

• 12:07 p.m. Wednesday - A person reported a vehicle was damaged on private property by another vehicle that rolled into it in the 9300 block of South Ind. 15, Silver Lake. KCSO.

• 4:04 p.m. Wednesday - A theft was reported in the 800 block of North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Loss: $250. Syracuse Police Department investigated.

• 4:33 p.m. Wednesday - A suicide attempt was reported in the 3600 block of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. WPD.

• 5:04 p.m. Wednesday - A hit-skip accident to a mailbox was reported in the 6700 block of North Kalorama Road, Leesburg. KCSO.

• 5:32 p.m. Wednesday - A welfare check on a person who was threatening suicide was conducted in the 300 block of South Detroit Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 7:27 p.m. Wednesday - A fight at a residence was reported in the 11500 block of North Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. KCSO.

• 10:33 p.m. Wednesday - A violation of a protective order was reported in the 2000 block of West CR 700S, Claypool. KCSO.

• 10:27 a.m. Thursday - A fraudulent prescription was reported at Walgreen Pharmacy in the 2400 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 12:19 p.m. Thursday - A violation of a protective order was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street, Warsaw. KCSO.

• 1:56 p.m. Thursday - A man was found dead in his residence in the 400 block of East Pope Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 6:14 p.m. Thursday - A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 900 block of Taylor Street, Warsaw.  A jump box was taken. Loss: $155.86. WPD.

• 9:49 p.m. Thursday - A traffic stop was made in the 800 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw, for a person driving while suspended. WPD.
