Wawasee’s Brayden Johnson will attend and play football at Ball State University this fall. 

Johnson completed his high school football career in the fall. He plays basketball and will compete in track and field this spring. He is a scholar athlete with a 7.41 GPA and ranks 116th in his class. 

Johnson was Wawasee’s 2018 Special Teams Player of the Year and was first team All-Northern Lakes Conference. He also was named to the 2018 Kohl’s High School Season All-American Team, and was named a 2018 ESPN All-American Punter. 

“I chose BSU because it felt like home, but also allows me to step outside my comfort zone,” Johnson said. 

Johnson will major in nursing.
