He was born on April 15, 1951, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Corbin and Minerva Hackworth Arnett.
He graduated in 1969 from Warsaw Community High School and lived most of his life in the Claypool, Warsaw and Milford areas. He was married on Oct. 26, 1994, in Maui, Hawaii, to Janet K. Wall Anderson, who survives. He was employed at Warsaw Foundry as a maintenance supervisor for the past 17 years, formerly worked at Dalton Foundry in Warsaw for 23 years and was the former owner/operator of Arnett’s Body Shop in Claypool.
He is survived by wife, Janet Arnett, of Milford; daughter, Amber (John) Petro, of Warsaw; stepson, Christopher (Megan) Anderson, of Columbia City; grandson, Brody (Kristen Shoemaker) Baldridge, of Warsaw; stepgrandson, Brigham Anderson; great-grandson, Preston Shoemaker Baldridge; step-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Shoemaker; seven sisters: Nancy (Will) Bentley, of Warsaw; Phyllis Sue Johnson, of Warsaw; Joyce Hamman, of Huntington; Debbie (Rick) Carter, of Warsaw; Sandy (Ruben) Rose, of Warsaw; Patty (Denward) Johnson, of Weise, W.Va.; and Kathy Kemberly, of Bloomington; and five brothers: Clyde (Becky) Arnett, of Warsaw; Carl Arnett, of Pierceton; Greg (Donna) Arnett, of Warsaw; Rick (Laura) Arnett, of Warsaw; and Tim Arnett, of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Cleo Nine and Mildred Arnett; and brother, Claude Arnett.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at the Syracuse Cemetery with Pastor Rick Broulette officiating.
