PIERCETON – The Pierceton Police Department announced the hiring of Brooke Koldewey as a full-time police officer.

Koldewey is from the Fort Wayne area, and attended the University of Saint Francis. She previously worked as a medic for Parkview Health and served as a reserve officer for PPD.

She is finishing up her full-time officer training program and will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield during the spring.

Pierceton Police Chief Tim Sammons said, “I am very excited to watch Officer Koldewey grow as a police officer. She has worked very hard to fulfill her dream. It is exciting to know that many young people still think that law enforcement is a noble profession and are willing to step-up to serve their community. The citizens of Pierceton are blessed to have her.”
