The annual WCN Run/Walk for Hunger 5K is one of World Compassion Network's community service events that gives 100% of the net proceeds to local churches, schools and organizations that fight hunger in the area. This year over $12,000 was raised. A news release from WCN states it is thankful to share all of it with the following churches, schools and organizations: Mission Point Community Church, Warsaw Community Church, Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Beaman Home, Warsaw Community Schools-Boomerang Back Pack Program, Baker Youth Club, Combined Community Services, Salvation Army, New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Fellowship Missions, Lutheran Social Services, First Christian Church, God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Our Father’s House, Victory Rock, Agaitas and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. The 2020 Run for Hunger will take place March 28 in Winona Lake.
