The big Toy Time Consignment Sale that benefits Combined Community Services’ toy giveaway is this weekend. Over 10,000 toys will be available for purchase, with at least half of the proceeds used to buy gifts for struggling families this holiday, according to organizer Ami Pitt. The sale is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Consignors get to shop early Friday. “It’s like a 150-family garage sale with nothing but children’s items,” Pitt said. “It is a public sale. Everyone is invited to come shop.” Items for the toy sale can still be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. The CCS toy giveaway is scheduled for Dec. 17-18. Bibles also will be handed out at the giveaway. Pitt said they are still taking donations of new and gently used Bibles. In 2018, over 1,500 kids were helped.
