Lady Cougars Roll To Win Over Community Baptist
WINONA LAKE – Tori Calizo had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and her sister Jessi added 10 points and five boards for Lakeland Christian Academy in its 50-26 girls basketball win over visiting Community Baptist Tuesday night.
Natalie Norris, Finley Hobbs and Liv Miller had six points for LCA. Jordan Gross and Alexis Miller rounded out the scoring with two points each.
Lakeland Christian (2-6) plays at Culver Community at 6 p.m. Friday, with a boys game to follow.
Wawasee Falls To W. Noble
LIGONIER – Emily Haines had nine points, five rebounds and four steals for visiting Wawasee in its 43-26 non-conference girls basketball loss at West Noble Tuesday.
Danielle Jenkins had five points and a pair of steals for the Warriors. Hannah Lancaster added four points and three steals.
Tate Cowan, Ava Harker and Blair Harker had fice points each for Wawasee in its 23-19 junior varsity win over the Chargers.
Wawasee (4-3) will host South Bend Adams at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hardwood Teepee.
Canterbury Edges Whitko
FORT WAYNE – Morgan Howard had 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals, and Elizabeth Miller had nine points for Whitko in its 31-24 non-conference girls basketball loss at Fort Wayne Canterbury Tuesday night.
Brookelynn Coburn had 11 rebounds and three steals for the Wildcats.
Trojans Fall To Neighboring Plymouth
BOURBON – Ashton Oviedo had 16 points and Tyson yates added 11 points for Triton in its 41-38 loss to visiting Plymouth in a non-conference boys basketball game between neighboring Marshall County schools Tuesday night.
John Gardner tallied five points, Tyler Heckaman had four points and a team-high eight rebounds for the host Trojans. Quentin Amsden had a bucket to round out the Triton scoring.
Jake Reichard had 31 points and six rebounds for the visiting Pilgrims.
The Trojan junior varsity took a 41-24 victory over Plymouth.
Triton (1-1) hosts NorthWood for a non-conference matchup Friday night in The Trench.
Vikings Edge Dragons
ARGOS – Tippecanoe Valley freshman Paul Leasure had 20 points, including a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left in the game, to lead the Vikings to a 43-40 win at host Argos in non-conference boys basketball Tuesday.
Sophomore Dawson Perkins recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tanner Trippiedi had five points, six rebounds and three steals.
The junior varsity game went to the Dragons, 46-41. Brendyn Stump had 14 points and Chase Miller had nine for Valley.
The Vikings (1-1) travel to Knox Friday night.

GOSHEN – Seth Martin had 14 points for Lakeland Christian Academy in its 50-36 loss at Bethany Christian in a boys basketball game Tuesday.
Landon Paris had nine points for the visiting Cougars, with Cameron Shepherd and Matthew Helton adding four points each. Brayden Lane had three points and Peter Keller had a bucket to round out LCA’s scoring.
The Bruins won the junior varsity game 51-12.
LCA’s middle school team won 48-15. Isaiah Lara had 17 points, Mel Norris had 11 points and Micah Martin had 10 for the Cougars.
The Cougar varsity (0-2) travel to Culver community for a game Friday night.
