Warrior VB Sweeps Lakeland

SYRACUSE – Liz Kleopfer had 11 assists and seven kills to help Wawasee to a 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 non-conference volleyball win over visiting Lakeland High School at The Hardwood Tepee Monday.

Leslie Vazquez had10 digs and five kills, and Madi Simmons had seven aces in the win.

The junior varsity match went to the Lakers 25-22, 16-25, 15-11.

Wawasee (2-1) travels to Albion to take on Central Noble today.



Wawasee Golf Opens NLC Play With Win

SYRACUSE – Wawasee opened the Northern Lakes Conference portion of its schedule with a 182-216 win over visiting Goshen at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse.

All four Warrior players broke 50; Belle Brunner was the medalist with a 41. Other Wawasee scored were Jadison Rostochak, 46; Valerie Haessig, 47; Tate Cowan, 48; and Taylor Cripe, 49.

The Warrior junior varsity won its match 245-258 over the RedHawks.

Wawasee will host Warsaw and Northridge on Thursday.

ROCHESTER – Molly McFarland had 16 digs, with Jaela Faulkner and Abbey Viers recording four kills each for Triton in its 25-15, 25-23, 25-21 non-conference road volleyball loss at Rochester Monday.

The junior varsity match went to Rochester 25-23, 25-7.

Triton will visit Bremen for a non-conference match today.

NORTH MANCHESTER – Wabash earned a pair of Three Rivers Conference girls golf wins Monday evening at Sycamore Golf Club. Wabash had a score of 189 to Northfield’s 200 and host Whitko’s 214.

Next up for Whitko is a four way match with Manchester, North Miami and host Tippecanoe Valley at Round Barn Golf Club in Rochester Thursday.
