Lady Spartan Volleyball Gearing Up For Season

Seven Spartans were named "Players to Watch" earlier this morning by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Senior libero Anna Marie Lawrie was an Honorable All-HCAC performer in 2018. Lawrie currently ranks seventh all-time in program history with 1,102 career digs. She's also fourth all-time in digs per set (4.19) and ninth in assists (172).
Sophomores Samantha Campbell and Kara Heck-muller were both named "Players to Watch" by the conference. Campbell and Heckmuller made significant contributions as freshmen in 2018.
The Spartans will have seven freshman in uniform in 2019. Four of them, Halle Planck, Helaina Walters Rachel Ressler and Sara Schultz all landed on the "Players to Watch" list.
Head coach Ivan Matos will be in his second season leading the Black and Gold.
