WINONA LAKE – Warsaw earned a pair of wins in a non-conference girls golf match Thursday at Sonehenge Golf Club. The Tigers’ score of 184 for the 9-hole match was better than Rochester’s 206 and Triton’s 261.

The Tigers’ Marie Frazzetta and Sydney Lancaster  tied for medalist honors, each shooting a 43. Delaney Byron was a 46, Grayson Kilburn at 52 and Brooklyn Fitzgerald was at 56.

Triton was paced by Maddie Richardson at 52, with Lilly Hubert at 69, and Haley Hooley and Haley Rensberger each posting a score of 70.

Rochester was paced by Kristianna Lingenfelter with a 47. Marley Strasser had a 51, Kat Tensberger was at 52, Karah Lingenfelter at 56 and Maddie Henning at 57.

Next up for Warsaw is a non-conference match at 10 a.m. Saturday with visiting Chesterton at Stonehenge. Triton’s next match will be Tuesday’s with Manchester at a cvourse yet to be determined. Caston was scheduled to host the other two teams, but cancelled its season for lack of players.



Valley Rallies Past Northfield


WABASH – Tippecanoe Valley’s Madelyn Weaver posted a season-law 44 to lead the Lady Vikings to a 205-212 win over host Northfield in a girls golf match Thursday at Honeywell Golf Club.

Other Valley scores were Kaydence Mellottt, 51; Molly Moriarty, 53; Lily Ault, 57; Lydia Miller, 61 and Chaney Canada, 65.

Next up for the Lady Vikings is a non-conference home match with Wawasee at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Round Barn Golf Club in Rochester.



Lady Squires Fall To Peru In TRC Play

PERU – Manchester dropped its opening girls golf match in Three Rivers Conference play Thursday 216-228 to Peru at Rock Hollow Golf Club.

Sam Kissel was the medalist with a 43, five shots better than anyone else in the field. Other Lady Squire scores were Alissa Bickerstaff, 53; Kayla Hippensteel, 63; and Delani Henderson, 69.

“We may not have played our best the entire night, but we sowed some grit tonight,: Manchester coach Josy Troyer said. “I am proud of how the girls battled and started making their own adjustments on the course. We are taking steps in the right direction as we prepare for tournament time.”

Next up for Manchester is the Wabash County Tourna-ment at Honeywell Golf Club in Wabash. First tee is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday.



Wawasee Gets 3 Wins, Whitko 2

SYRACUSE – Wawasee earned three wins and Whitko two in a four-way golf match Wednesday with Churubusco and West Noble at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse. The Warriors had a team score of 186 to Whitko’s 206, Churubusco’s 213 and West Noble’s 242 for the 9-hole competition.

Belle Brunner was the medalist for Wawasee, posting a 42. Tate Cowan shot a 44, Taylor Cripe a 47, Valerie Haessig a 53 and Jadison Rostochak a 55 for the Warriors.

Whitko was paced by by Augusta Garr's 48.

Both teams will compete at the Wawasee Invitational at South Shore Golf Club in Syracuse. First tee is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday.
