Warsaw Church To Host Guest Speaker

The River Worship Center welcomes Pastor Steve and Diane Sumrall Sunday. The Sumrall’s serve as senior pastors at Christ Chapel of South Bend. They are the directors of the international aid ministry Feeding the Nations and Provident Ministerial Network.

 Pastor Sumrall will be ministering during the 10 a.m. worship service.

A free-will offering will be received.

 The church is located at 4517 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw, 2 miles north of Walmart.

Burket UMC Car Show

BURKET – Burket United Methodist Church, located at 102 S. Market St., Burket, will have a car show and annual community summer celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

There is a $10 entry fee. Food, including hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, ice cream, snow cones and mouse ears, are free. Also free to attendees are a bounce house, face painting, volleyball game, corn hole game, dunk tank, Burket fire truck and tug of war. WIOE will have a RV that will be broadcasting live.

Celebration UMC Food Pantry

WINONA LAKE – ­Celebration United Methodist Church, located at 1289 S. CR 250E, Winona Lake, food pantry will be closed on Wednesdays starting Sept. 1.

The food pantry will continue to be open on Fridays.

Coming soon, Pastor Dave will be cooking breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the church on the first Sunday of the month.

You are welcome at CUMC. Service begins at 10 a.m.

Warsaw Family Worship Center will have an all-you-can-eat country breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10:30 a.m. The church is located 1250 Husky Trail, next to Martin’s Supermarket, Warsaw. For information, call 574-267-7210. Donations will be taken at the door.



Sacred Heart Meal Offered

 A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church, Warsaw, on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The meal this month will feature spaghetti, garden salad, bread, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts. This month’s dinner is  provided and served by the Knights of Columbus, along with our parishioners. There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome. Pierceton United Methodist Annual Homemade Ice Cream Social

PIERCETON – Everyone is invited to attend the annual homemade ice cream social of the Pierceton United Methodist Church. The date for this event is Saturday, Aug. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Sandwiches, baked beans, pies and cakes will be served with vanilla, chocolate and lemon ice cream.  All of this for a free-will offering.  

Bring your family, friends and neighbors and enjoy this traditional summertime event.



Trinity Pentecostal To Host Guest Speaker

Trinity Pentecostal Lighthouse, located at 125 W. Fawley St., Warsaw will host the Rev. Pete Ashby from Cumberland, Ky., from Aug. 26 to Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. Sep 1 with dinner to follow. Call 574-267-7821 with any questions.
