A story from Aug. 6 titled “Animal Rights Advocate Booted From Commissioners Meeting” requires clarification.

The story stated animal rights advocate Kelly Bolenbaugh was asked to leave the meeting after a verbal confrontation with county commissioner Bob Conley.

But according to county commissioner Brad Jackson, she was simply asked to sit down and chose to leave on her own accord.

A court security officer was called into the room, and after a brief conversation, Bolenbaugh left the room.

The reporter covering the meeting could not hear the whole conversation and, given the fact that she left, believed she was a asked to leave.
