FORT WAYNE – Led by Maria Frazzetta’s 87, Warsaw beat Carroll 372-385 in a non-conference, 18-hole girls golf match Monday at Chestnut Hills Golf Course in Fort Wayne.
Grayson Kilburn posted a 92, Sydney Lancaster 96. Delaney Byron 97 and Brooklyn Fitzgerald 110 for the Tigers.
Next up for Warsaw is a match with Triton and Rochester at 5 p.m. Thursday at Stonehenge Golf Club.
Vikings Beat Rain, Pioneer
ROCHESTER – Despite rainy conditions, Tippecanoe Valley’s girls golf team earned a 214-228 non-conference win over visiting Pioneer at Round Barn Golf Course in Rochester Monday.
Kaydence Mellott was the medalist with a 9-hole score of 50. Madelyn Weaver had a 51 and Molly Moriarty finished at 54. Lily Ault’s 59 and Cheney Canada’s 60 rounded out the Viking scoring.
Valley returns to Round Barn at 4:30 p.m. today to host Northfield and Peru in a Three Rivers Conference match.
Whitko Edges North Miami, Triton
PLYMOUTH – Whitko opened its girls golf season with wins over North Miami and Triton Monday. The Wildcats had a score of 207 for the nine-hole match, to North Miami’s 259 and Triton’s 278.
Individual scoring was not available as of press time.
Whitko is right back at it today, traveling to Dogwood Glen in Warren to play Southern Wells. Triton will play Rochester and host Warsaw Thursday at Stonehenge Golf Club.
Wawasee, Manchester Rained Out
SYRACUSE – A non-conference girls golf match between Manchester and host Wawasee was rained out. The teams were to compete at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse.
It wasn’t clear as of press time when or if the match would be rescheduled.
Manchester is schedule to host Columbia City for a non-conference match at 5 p.m. today at Sycamore Golf Club. Wawasee will host Whitko and West Noble at Maxwelton at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
