He was born on April 13, 1923, to Garland and Lucy McDonald Menzie in Kosciusko County, Ind. He was united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1989 to Patsy Swope in Warsaw.
Cloyce grew up in Pierceton, Ind., and lived his entire life in Kosciusko County. He served as a youth camp counselor at Camp Good News near North Webster. He was a member of Pathway Church in Warsaw and devoted his life to God and serving the Lord. He worked at Litchfield Milnot Creamery, Pletcher Foods and was Owen’s oldest and friendliest carry-out man until the age of 88. He was a great lover of music and sang in the Chain O Lakes Barbershop Quartette. His greatest passion in life was his family, church and his many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Patsy Menzie, of Warsaw; three children, Robert Menzie, of Auburn, Ind.; Tamra Carlin, of Pierceton; Beckie Menzie, of Chicago, Ill.; three step-children, Kim Lipply, of Warsaw; Tammy Rhodes, of Warsaw; and Terry Lipply, of Lakeland, Fla. In addition, Cloyce is survived by five granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A visitation is scheduled on Monday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. His funeral service will also be held on Monday, Aug. 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Pastor Jarod Osborne will officiate the service and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
