Ronald and Carma Middleton Gagnon will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Aug. 14.

They were married Aug. 14, 1959, in Akron.

The couple’s children are Steve and Linda Backus, of Akron; Steven and Kathy Gagnon, of Claypool; Barbara and Tim Heinbaugh, of Wabash; daughter-in-law, Diana Backus, of Webster; the late Dan Backus; and the late Debra Backus. The couple also have several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

An open house will be at 202 Franklin, Akron, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11. No gifts are necessary.

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.
