Grace Thursday Bridge

Grace Thursday Bridge met Thursday with Elaine Tripp as hostess. Winners were Betty Walston, Carol Freeman and Joyce Lattta.



The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge met Wednesday at Grace Village. Winners were Sharon Holtz, Nanette Newland, Maxine Harris and Barb Calaham. Elaine Tripp was hostess.



Last Monday Euchre Club

The Last Monday Euchre Club met at the Warsaw Senior Center Monday. High winner was Cheryl Farrell, most lones was Mary Wolford and low was Arlene Brooke.  The next meeting will be Aug. 26 at the Warsaw Senior Center at 12:30 p.m.



Alzheimer’s Care Giver Support Group

Walnut Creek Church invites you to its monthly Alzheimer’s Care Giver Support Group. The group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. The next meeting is Thursday at 10 a.m. Caregivers of a loved one who has dementia are welcome to come for encouragement and sharing.  The Rev. Greg Hiatt and Rosemary Laughlin lead the group and have been trained by the Alzheimer’s Association.  The church is located at 2033 South CR 150W, Warsaw (approximately 1 mile south of Warsaw High School on Ind. 15 South).  If you have questions, call the church at 574-267-4032 or www.walnutcreekchurch.com.



Friends Meet Singles

Friends Meet Singles had 15 people come to its Wednesday meeting this week.  After visiting for a bit, some broke off into a couple of tables to play bid euchre and another group played ponytail canasta.  Yet some also chose to visit around with all the tables. All had an enjoyable night with many conversation topics.

During the evening, the group was given pamphlets regarding the Warsaw Performing Arts Center and the Lakeland Community Concert Association 2019-2020 season schedule. All concerts are held at the Performing Arts Center at the Warsaw High School. The schedule is from this September through May 2020. First on the schedule is Joel Raney, Pianist who will perfom Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2:30 pm.  The website is www.joelraneymusic.com  

Tired of sitting home alone? Ccome on out to Martin's Supermarket upstairs deli between 6:30 and 7 p.m. to meet new friends and join in conversation and maybe some games.  



Alzheimer’s And Dementia Services

Of Northern Indiana

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana caregiver support group will be held Tuesday at 1p.m. in the Parkview Center for Healthy Living, inside the first doors of the YMCA at 1305 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.  Caregivers of a loved one who has dementia are welcome to come once or regularly for encouragement and sharing.  Facilitator, Karen Kauffman, has been leading dementia support groups for more than 10 years.  The group meets regularly the first Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.



Bridge At SPEC In North Webster

Bridge at SPEC in North Webster did not play Tuesday. The group did play Thursday. Dick Sutton came in first, and Dick Roby came in second.



Wednesday Bridge Group

On Wednesday, the Wednesday Bridge Group met. The group had four tables had the following winners: Jerry Metz, Jim Levandis, John Stewart, Tony Frazzetta and Joan Earhart. Guest host was Bob Mayer.  Anyone interested in joining in on our game is welcome. Contact BobMayer at 574-367-6879 for details.

ATWOOD – The congregation at Atwood Otterbein Church will celebrate the 98th anniversary of the building of their church at 306 E. Main St., Atwood, on Sunday at their 9:30 a.m. service. The congregation celebrates its Heritage Day each May.
