Wawasee senior Alejandro Castro (front row, center) signed a letter of intent Monday to continue his academic and wrestling careers at Defiance College in Definace, Ohio. Castro also played on the varsity and United Flag football teams in his Warrior career. In his Wawasee wrestling career, Castro was 2018 and 2019 Northern Lakes Conference honorable mention and a sectional champion in 2019 as well as earning scholar-athlete status. In the back row are Wawasee Assistant Principal Steve Perek, Warrior wrestling coaches Matt Elvidge, Frank Baumgardner and Jamie Salazar, and Wawasee Athletic Director Cory Schutz.
