Trinity UMC Rummage Sale April 26-27

Trinity United Methodist Church will have its annual rummage sale Friday and Saturday.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Proceeds from the sale will go to UMW Missions.

The church is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.



Rummage Sale At God’s Highway To Heaven

God’s Highway to Heaven Church is planning a rummage sale this week.

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Hot food and baked items will also be sold.

People may rent a table for the sale for a $10 donation to the church.

The church is at 555 Webber St., Warsaw. Call Judy at 574-267-4061 for more information.



Nelson’s Port-A-Pit Fundraiser April 26, 27

His Hands & Feet International is planning a Port-A-Pit  fundraiser in support of a mission trip to Guatemala.

The fundraiser will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sold out Friday and Saturday in the parking lot of JB’s Furniture, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Offerings will include chicken and pork chops for $7.50, barbecue baby back ribs for $12 and Pit-Tatoes for $4.50.

Amish fried pies will be $4 each or three for $10.



Aldersgate Experience April 26-28 In Burket

BURKET – Burket United Methodish Church will have its Aldersgate Experience Friday through Sunday.

The speaker at the 7 p.m. Friday service will be the Rev Kevin Shelton.

Saturday will begin at 4 p.m. with a session on addictions  led by J. Graham. A free dinner is planned for 5:30 p.m., followed by the Hall Family Singers at 6:30 p.m. and Shelton at 7:30 p.m.

Jeremy Graham will be the speaker at the 10 a.m. Sunday service.

Senior Recital Saturday At First UMC

A celebration recital for Anna Stout is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday at Warsaw First United Methodist Church, 179 S. Indiana St., Warsaw.  

Stout, a high school senior, has studied violin for 13 years, currently at Oberlin Conservatory. She has performed with the Symphony of the Lakes, The Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Symphony, The Piano Guys and The Platnost Quartet, among others.

Stout has studied internationally and will be touring with the Chicago Youth Symphony in Russia, Estonia, Finland and Sweden this summer.

Stout will be performing solo and chamber works by Lalo, Saint-Saens, Haydn, Smetana, among others, in collaboration with pianist Judie Meulink, cellist Mary Jean Kraft and the Platnost Quartet.

Everyone is welcome to the recital.



Sidney Grace Brethren Reunion May 11

 SIDNEY – All former pastors and attendees of the Sidney Grace Brethren Church are invited to an old-fashioned carry-in meal at 5 p.m. May 11.

The gathering will be in the fellowship hall of the church.

National Day Of Prayer Services May 2

WINONA LAKE – Services for the National Day of Prayer are planned for noon and 6:30 p.m. May 2 at Winona Heritage Room.

Kondo Simfukwe, lead pastor of Mission Point Community Church, will speak on Jesus' command to "Love One Another" (John 13:34).  There will be prayers for government, ministry, military, business, education, families and the community.  See facebook.com/KosciuskoNDP for more details.

Fish Fry Saturday In North Webster

NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

The fry will include fish, baked beans, applesauce, salads, pie, cake and other desserts. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12.

The church is at 7281 E. 600 N., North Webster.
