Christianaires Coming To Beaver Dam UMC

AKRON – Beaver Dam United Methodist Church will host the men's quartet the Christianaires for Good Friday Services at 7 p.m. Friday.

The church is also planning special services for Easter Sunday this weekend.

A sunrise service is planned for 8 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the worship service at 9:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.

The church is at 798 W. 1000 S., Akron.



National Day Of Prayer Services May 2

WINONA LAKE – Services for the National Day of Prayer are planned for noon and 6:30 p.m. May 2 at Winona Heritage Room.

Kondo Simfukwe, lead pastor of Mission Point Community Church, will speak on Jesus' command to "Love One Another" (John 13:34).  There will be prayers for government, ministry, military, business, education, families and the community.  See facebook.com/KosciuskoNDP for more details.

Claypool UM Announces Holy Week Services

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church will have Good Friday services at 2 p.m. Friday.

For Easter, a sunrise service is planned for 7 a.m. Sunday, followed by breakfast at 7:30 a.m.  

The sermon in the 9 a.m. worship service is titled "Joe Black Undertaker."

Everyone is welcome to all services.



Nelson’s Chicken Fundraiser Is Saturday

A Nelson's chicken fundraiser for Pentecostal Lighthouse Church is planned for Saturday at the Owen's parking lot on Center Street.

The sale will go from 10 a.m. until sold out. Cost is $6.50 per half. Ticket presales are  underway; call 574-267-7821 to purchase tickets.

A bake sale is also planned.  



First Christian Celebrating The Resurrection

First Christian Church, 115 Park Ridge Drive, Warsaw, invites the community to the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection this Sunday (Easter).

During the 9:30 a.m. worship service, Pastor Gary Boschain will present God’s word on “Matthew – The Sacrifice of Jesus,” celebrating the risen Jesus from Matthew 28:1-10. Everyone is welcome.

Warsaw Family Worship is having its annual Easter bake sale Friday and Saturday.

The bake sale will be at the church this year and will feature lots of “beautiful Easter cakes.”

All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  

The breakfast will include biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, fried apples, pancakes, milk, orange juice and coffee.

Donations will accepted at the door.

Fish Fry April 27 In North Webster

NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. April 27.

The fry will include fish, baked beans, applesauce, salads, pie, cake and other desserts. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12.

The church is at 7281 E. 600 N., North Webster.

 

St. Anne’s Plans Two Easter Services

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will have two Easter services on Sunday.

The services celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ are planned for 8 and 10:15 a.m.

Maundy Thursday Service Today At Presby

The public is invited to Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church for a special Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. today.

The service will focus on Jesus’ sacrifice using the words of the Apostles Creed and selected Psalms. Communion will be served in remembrance of Christ's last supper with his disciples.

Child care will be available.

On Easter Sunday, the church will have services at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Between services, at 10 a.m., there will be a light breakfast and egg hunt for children through sixth grade. Everyone is welcome.

The Warsaw community is invited to a combined Holy Thursday service at Warsaw Trinity United Methodist Church.

The Maundy Thursday service will be at 7 p.m. today.

The church is planning a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday.

An Easter sunrise service and drama with breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday, with the traditional service following.

In addition, the church offers Dinner Church and Bible Study Thursdays at 6 p.m.



Atwood Aldersgate Plans Sunrise Service

ATWOOD – Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church invites the public to “come as you are” on Easter Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

A sunrise service with Holy Communion will begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by breakfast at 8 a.m., then the worship service at 9 a.m.

The regular service time of 10:30 a.m. will return the following Sunday.

Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church is at 105 E. Hovey St.,  Atwood.

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will have a Maundy Thursday service. Mass will begin at 7 p.m. today with foot washing and Holy Communion, followed by the Altar of Repose.

ATWOOD – Otterbein United Methodist Church invites the community to a “Sonrise” worship service at 7 a.m. Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  

The Easter service is designed to give praise to God for sending His only Son Jesus to die on a cross for the sins of humanity and then defeat death by raising from the dead.  

Refreshments will follow the early service. The church’s  regular Sunday service will be at 9:30 a.m.

The special service is designed to help people prepare for Easter by going back to the time of the Last Supper and the Crucifixion. It will include washing feet (or hands), Holy Communion and the opportunity to give our sin to Jesus by writing it down and actually nailing it to the Cross.
