NORTH WEBSTER — If you are a bargain hunter, you won’t want to miss the big book sale put on by the Friends of the North Webster Community Public Library April 25-27.

You will find hundreds of good-quality, gently used books for all ages, along with movie DVDs and puzzles. All genres are represented to satisfy everyone’s tastes.

The best part is the low bargain prices, with all proceeds going to support the work of the library.

Sale location is the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall, with sale hours April 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; April 26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and April 27, 9 a.m. to noon.

Get ready for a fun girls’ afternoon out and purchase a ticket for the Ladies Tea at 2 p.m. May 9. Experience a traditional afternoon tea with light pastries, lovely table service and friendly conversation. Everyone is asked to bring their favorite tea cup and saucer and wear a fun tea party hat.

The tickets cost $7 and must be purchased in advance, since there will be no ticket sales at the door. Tickets are available at the library circulation desk. The Ladies Tea is co-sponsored by the North Webster Library and Friends of the Library.

Voyager Book Club meets at 10 a.m. Monday to discuss inspirational books. If you’ve read one lately, bring it to Voyager to share and discuss. Later that day, at 1:30 p.m., adults are invited to a free movie matinee showing a 1954 musical about seven ill-mannered men seeking wives.

Bring a dish to share and sample the next day, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, to Revolving Recipe Round-Up. This month everyone is to prepare a vegetable dish. If you love to cook and try new recipes, join Revolving Recipe Round-Up the fourth Tuesday each month.

The kids can enjoy their own free movie at 5 p.m. April 25. The Youth Department will be showing the 2018 live-action animated comedy film about a stubborn and naughty rabbit. The movie is rated PG and runs 100 minutes. The popcorn is free and everyone is welcomed to bring their own drinks.

Check the library’s website, www.nweb.lib.in.us, and Facebook page frequently to keep up to date on upcoming programs and events as well as online resources.
