John and Elaine Elliott of Winona Lake are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

John and the former Elaine Leinonen were married March 29, 1969, in Southfield (Mich.) Community Church.

John retired from 1st Source Bank and Elaine taught at Jefferson Elemen-tary before their four children were born.

Their children are Brian (Jennifer) Elliott of Lakeland, Fla.; Daniel (Amber) Elliott of Elizabeth City, N.C.; Benjamin (Kirsti) Elliott of Hampstead, N.C.; and Katherine (Richard) McElrath of Anderson, S.C.

They have 12 grandchildren: Brian Jr., Jackson, Olivia, Lily Kate, Grayson, Hannah, Molly, Alex, Madison, Lili Mei, Kai and Rosie.

Their children will celebrate the anniversary on April 20 in Wilmington, N.C. A celebration in Warsaw at a later date is being planned.
