The Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County is the recipient of the generosity of the participants in the Steve Dodd’s Charity Golf Outing at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club recently. Over $22,000 was generated for the fund through entry fees, mulligan purchases, a “skins game” and other fundraising events on the course. Chris Johnson (R) won the putting contest and $500 from 1st Source Bank and had a chance to win $5,000 cash by making a 51-foot putt on the ninth hole, but missed. CCF Golf Chairman Denny Hively (L) presented Johnson with the prize. The Cancer Care Fund committee thanks all of the participants, hole sponsors and corporate sponsors for their support. All net proceeds will go to assisting cancer patients and their families in the county with the financial burdens that can arise during their battle with cancer. Check out the Cancer Care Fund website at www.cancercarefundkc.org for event photos.
