County Jail Bookings
The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 8:07 a.m. Wednesday – Faron Ellsworth Erwin, 40, of 707 E. Center St., #10, Warsaw, was arrested near the corner of Lake Street and Zimmer Road for operating while intoxicated and OWI with a blood alcohol content between .08 and .15 percent. Bond: $700.
• 11:47 a.m. Wednesday – Mark Duane Smith, 49, of 536 E. Center St., Warsaw, arrested for invasion of privacy. Bond: $1,500.
• 12:37 p.m. Wednesday – Matthew Shawn Miller, 32, of 8672 S. CR 600W, Claypool, arrested for contempt of court. No bond.
• 12:41 p.m. Wednesday – Tiffiany Danielle Castleberry, 28, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, arrested at the St. Joseph County Jail for failure to appear - original charge misdemeanor. Bond: $5,000.
• 1:22 p.m. Wednesday – Jay Durand Castleberry, 48, Fort Wayne, charged with fraud on a financial institution. Bond: $1,000.
• 2:08 p.m. Wednesday – Jacob Tillman Gerber, 24, Ossian, arrested for criminal conversion. Bond: $600.
• 2:10 p.m. Wednesday – Kenny Nicholas Gutierrez, 38, Ligonier, arrested for residential entry and OWI with endangerment. No bond.
• 3:30 p.m. Wednesday – Michael Lee Manges, 32, of 6847 E. CR 1120N, Syracuse, was arrested in Elkhart County for failure to appear, original charge misdemeanor. No bond listed.
• 3:41 p.m. Wednesday – Lydon John Smith, 34, of 2530 Tippy Downs Drive, Warsaw, was arrested for failure to stop after an accident. Bond: $500.
• 4:05 p.m. Wednesday – Julie Ann Pierce, 45, of 3762 E. Old Road 30, #618, Warsaw, arrested in the 3300 block of Old Colony Drive, Warsaw, for possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia-misdemeanor, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct - fighting. Bond: $5,250.
• 4:27 p.m. Wednesday – Donald P. Dill Jr., 43, Warsaw, arrested in the 3300 block of Old Colony Drive, Warsaw, for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Bond: $600.
• 4:51 p.m. Wednesday – Hanna Elizabeth Jackson, 20, of 3325 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of meth. Bond: $5,250.
• 5:15 p.m. Wednesday – Tyler Lee Goodpaster, 22, of 3325 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, arrested for possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance. Bond: $5,250.

Personal Injury Accident
• 4:26 p.m. Tuesday – Ind. 13, 100 feet south of First Street, North Webster. Driver left the roadway, striking a fence belonging to North Webster Church of God. Driver: Angelika S. Weidenbenner, 34, Rutland Court, Winona Lake. Weidenbenner was unconscious when medics arrived and regained consciousness after an IV was administered. She reported being light-headed but wasn’t sure why she lost consciousness. No further record of medical treatment found. Damage: under $750. North Webster Police Department investigated.
Property Damage Accidents
• 2:54 p.m. Tuesday – A vehicle registered to Michael Dominguez, Chestnut Street, Winona Lake, was struck while parked in front of his residence by an unknown motorist. Damage: $1,001-$2,500. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.
• 3:22 p.m. Wednesday – 100 block of South Hickory Street, Warsaw. A Norfolk Southern train struck a parked car registered to an unidentified person. The person who parked the car said he thought he was far enough away to avoid a train; he was inside a Hickory Street residence at the time of the collision. Damage: $2,501-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:04 p.m. Monday – A person reported a neighbor’s dog attacked his girlfriend’s dog in the 9200 block of Wizard of Oz Way, Cromwell. Kosciusko County Police Department investigated.
• Tuesday – Five incidents of fraud were reported at Interra Credit Union in the 300 block of South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
• 2:02 p.m. Tuesday – A person in the 100 block of EMS D23 Lane, Syracuse, reported the fraudulent use of a credit card. KCSD.
