Food Drive Sept. 29 At West Market Owen’s
Healing House Church of God is planning a food drive Sept. 29.
The food drive will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Owen’s on West Market Street, Warsaw.
Whitko Gospel Choir Concert Sunday At Silver Lake Wesleyan
SILVER LAKE — The Whitko Gospel Choir will present a gospel concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Silver Lake Wesleyan Church.
Under the direction of Dawn Hinthorn, the 19-member choir will share a variety of styles of music, from contemporary Christian to gospel. The choir has been in existence since 1970 and has been under Hinthorn’s direction for 26 years.
There is no admission charge for the concert, but a freewill offering will be received.
The church is at 106 W. Walnut St., Silver Lake. Parking is on the north of the church. Enter the east entrance, upper level.
Reception Planned Sunday For Freemans
NORTH MANCHESTER — North Manchester Congregational Christian Church invites the community to a reception Sunday for Pastor JP and Michelle Freeman.
The Freemans will go on a three-month sabbatical beginning Oct. 1. Returning Jan. 1 as pastor emeritus, JP Freeman will assume his part-time responsibilities of shepherding the Senior Saints of the church.
The Freemans were called to the church in 2000 after a conversation with then-deacon chair Bruce Pottenger. The church had been without a pastor for a time and the Freemans felt God leading a change in their ministry. “I’m a shepherd looking for a flock” Freeman said, to which Pottenger replied, “We’re a flock looking for a shepherd.” Pastor JP & Michelle were installed on Sept. 10, 2000.
Services at Congregational Christian Church are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sundays. The church is at 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester.
The reception will be Sunday between worship services and for one-half hour after the last service. Cards for the Freemans may be mailed to the church.

Soul’d Out Quartet At Riverview Sunday
TIPPECANOE — Southern gospel group Soul’d Out Quartet will sing at Riverview Community Church at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Soul'd Out Quartet was formed in 2004 when Matt Rankin sought “men of kindred spirits” to join him in a mission to evangelize God's word through song.
The group also hopes to strengthen and encourage God's people to be “salt and light to the world” and ambassadors for Christ.
Their concerts includes a variety of styles of gospel music with a balance of new and older songs.
The group performs at churches, theaters, fairs and festivals and has sung at Dollywood, Silver Dollar City and the National Quartet Convention. It has been honored by the Singing News Magazine and SoGospelnews.com.
There is no ticket charge for the concert, but a love offering will be collected.

McCall At Next Men Following Christ
WINONA LAKE — Dr. Larry McCall will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Men Following Christ.
The breakfast meeting is from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 29 at Alpha Dining Hall at Grace College.
After graduating from Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary, McCall was further shaped through a two- year pastoral internship in Pennsylvania, then returned to Winona Lake in 1981 to pastor Christ’s Covenant Church. Along the way, he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. He continues to serve on the pastoral team of Christ’s Covenant Church, and he speaks at conferences and ministers with Walking Like Jesus Ministries.
Walking Like Jesus Ministries was formed in 2015. This ministry is dedicated to serving Christians through McCall’s writing, teaching and preaching ministry, which focuses on helping people see in clear, practical ways how to pursue Christ and reflect Him in daily life.
Men Following Christ is a Christ-centered meeting for men of all ages. The meeting is open to anyone looking to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ, as well as be inspired by the speakers and the testimonies shared by other men.
The group meets from 8 to 10 a.m. the last Saturday of the month. Breakfast is served at no cost to those who attend. The public is welcome.

Morse Family Singers At Dutchtown Saturday
Dutchtown Brethren Church will host The Morse Family Singers at 7 p.m. Saturday.
This southern gospel vocal and instrumental group includes Jonathan and Heidi Morse and six of their nine children. Through music and testimony they want to spread the good news of Jesus to “a world in need of hope.”
There is no admission charge, but a freewill offering will be accepted.

Chicken And Noodles Dinner Saturday
SILVER LAKE — South Pleasant United Methodist women invite the public to their chicken and noodles dinner Saturday.
The meal will be from 4 to 7 p.m. or until food runs out at the South Pleasant UM Church. Homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or apple sauce, a slice of pie and drinks will be served.
A freewill donation for missions will be accepted.
